Hard Hat Harry, the loveable "genie", appears out of nowehere and takes his young friends on a journey into learning and excitement in every episode.
SGC is prepared to produce (6) new HARD HAT HARRY programs. Because we have exclusive access to several footage libraries, and other production resources and talent, we will be able to deliver programs that are superior in quality and educational value. They will of course be fun and most of all entertaining!
There will be some new location shooting along with the use of licensed and acquired footage. Fast-paced editing, upbeat music, and strong visuals will keep the interest level high for young viewers.
The following titles are the best-selling HARD HAT HARRY titles (subject categories). We are proposing to update these top-sellers with new production in the same proven categories. We have also added an alternate title for consideration -- “CARS”-- because of our special relationship with one of the largest automobile footage libraries.
Programs (brief descriptions):
1. FARM EQUIPMENT. Let’s explore those big machines that help grow food for millions of people (and for livestock too!). In this program, we’ll learn about farm machines big and small from tractors and small trucks to chisel plows, harrows, tillers, bailers, egg conveyors, seeding machines, potato planters, harvestors and more!
2. LIFE ON THE FARM . There’s a lot to see and do on the farm! Besides the more familiar chickens and cows, what about goats, horses, turkeys or even alpacas? How are eggs collected? How are chicks bred? What’s it like to actually live and work on a farm? What is an organic farm? How is farm life different today than in past years?
3. BIG MACHINES (Construction Equipment) (Parts 1 & 2 if desired). There are many types of construction machines and contraptions, and many things must be considered for which machines to put to work. Whether building the tallest skyscraper, an underground mega-mall, a luxury home, a modern apartment complex, an off- shore oil rig, a super-highway or even an extra-long bridge, there are many different construction machines for each type of endeavor. These include cranes, bulldozers, pile drivers, giant shovel machines, pavers, compactors, tunnel-digging machines and much more!
4. BIG MACHINES (Part 2, if produced, we will separate the machines into two major categories, tbd).
5. FIRE ENGINES. You see them in every city and town. How do fire fighters use the big fire trucks to put out fires and save lives? We’ll take a look at the giant trucks, tall ladders, powerful water hoses, and all the gadgets you’ll find on board most modern fire trucks. What’s it like to climb on board and take a ride? To go to a fire? Let’s find out!
6. MONSTER TRUCKS. Can they get any bigger? Some throw flames, some actually drive over other trucks! Others run up ramps to “fly” through the air. How do you build trucks like this? Are they hard to control? How fast can they go? What are some of the biggest and wildest? Who’s daring enough to drive them? We’ll go inside the cabs see who’s behind the wheel and learn about actual construction of these giants. Why do Monster Truck fans love this action so much? With truck names like “Black Widow”, “Shock Wave” and “Goliath”, Monster Trucks are sure to thrill everyone!
7. CARS (alternate program). Fuel efficiency and futuristic designs for safe, clean cars in the future. What’s happening with new cars to help solve our energy problems? We’ll also look at those big and wild old cars from giant Cadillacs to lightening-fast Corvettes, which are fun to look at (and ride in) but waste a lot of gas! Cars nowadays are certainly changing faster ever before. In this program we’ll take a close look at where cars have been and where they are heading in the 21st century.
Run time 45 minutes each. English language.
Budget: on request.
Executive Producer The Stuart Goldman Co. has over twenty years of production experience. We currently have seven hours of non-fiction programming running on Discovery Networks, Ovation Channel, A&E Networks and the Biography Channel. We have received many awards for our documentaries. In the “kids” category we exclusively represent the well-known children’s properties and program libraries “Teddy Ruxpin” and “Hard Hat Harry” for the development of new programming and licensing. SGC is responsible for initiating DVD releases for both properties. We formerly represented children’s program libraries including the award-winning syndicated TV series, “Popular Mechanics for Kids,” the long-running PBS series “Big Comfy Couch,” and the 100- hour Hearst Entertainment Animation Library. Again, we were pivotal in bringing these TV programs to DVD release. We have access to a number of footage libraries, writers, directors, editors and other talent which represent economic and efficient production resources. These resources will allow for the production of new, high quality “All About” programs as described. The programs will be produced in Los Angeles.
