| David Graff, SGC's Licensing and Marketing Consultant, is president and founder of SunGate Partners, Inc., a strategic planning and marketing consulting firm specializing in innovative brand extension and licensing programs for growing companies and non-profits in the US and abroad. His past and present clients include Safeway, Maxim Magazine, Peter Max, The National Audubon Society, Outward Bound, Reading Rainbow, Ringier Publishing, International Executive Service Corps, The Joester Loria Group, Dot Com Distribution, FDG Design Group, Cabana Joe’s, Beverly Murphy Home, South Sea Rattan Furniture, Test Rite and American Leathersmith among others. Prior to forming SunGate, Graff was Senior Vice President, Hearst Magazines International, and General Manager, Hearst Magazines Brand Development, first joining the company in 1989. In his eleven years at Hearst, he founded and developed the largest magazine brand extension and licensing group in the world, resulting in retail sales topping $850 million annually, with the sector’s largest home video business. At Hearst, he produced the largest selling fitness series of the era with Cosmopolitan magazine, which sold 8 million units. Prior to Hearst, Graff was an account director at the American Consulting Corporation. His primary clients included Quaker Oats’ Gatorade, Oscar Meyer, Chesebrough-Pond's, and Citicorp’s Information Services Group. Earlier, he was a product manager at General Foods on Birds Eye, Ronzoni, Crystal Light, and Tang and was honored with the President’s Award for his creating and managing the Tang March Across America for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Mr. Graff is currently working closely with SGC in content licensing and several trademark licensing ventures including a DVD fitness series for Elle Magazine. Ernest Schultz, Production Partner, is president of ESA Entertainment, Inc., is the most accomplished producer of fitness programming in the country. His career in fitness programming began in 1988 when he co-produced and directed the first branded fitness home video series for Cosmopolitan magazine, which sold over 8 million units. Soon after, he produced the landmark series of Cindy Crawford videos "Shape Your Body", which sold over 5 million units worldwide and redefined the category. He developed and created videos for Daisy Fuentes, Elle McPherson, Marky Mark and Mary Tyler Moore. In 1994 he started a 10 year partnership with Richard Simmons and has produced over 40 videos with combined sales of over 20 million units. In recent years, Mr. Schultz has developed fitness series for George Foreman, Spinning, and Self Magazine. In addition to fitness, he has produced pilots for Paramount Television (You're Wanted) and Spike TV (Hooking Up) and is currently in development on a reality show. Mr. Schultz has produced award shows (The New Music Awards for M-TV, The Classical Music Awards for A & E ), branded children's home videos (Redbook, Good Housekeeping), music videos (Bob Marley, Tom Waits, Ace Frehley) and sports programming (Pro Football Playbook for Fox Sports Net and The WWF Home Video series). Mr. Schultz has completed the Popular Mechanics "New Technology of War" series in association with SGC and Strategic Entertainment, LLC, and produced a DVD fitness series for Elle Magazine with SGC and SunGate Partners, Inc. |
| David Fox, SGC's TV Sales and Marketing Consultant, is president and founder of David Fox and Associates, Inc. Fox started his career in programming in 1979, covering eastern and mid-western television stations for D. L. Taffner, Ltd., representatives of British independent Thames, the CBC, and ABC, Australia. In 1981, he co-founded Fox/Lorber Associates, which is now part of Bob and Harvey Weinstein’s Genius Products. There he syndicated hundreds of hours of specials on behalf of HBO, Showtime, the Estate of Elvis Presley, and Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels. He also co- founded A&E Home Video (1989) and reconfigured and secured the first television exposure for the breakout children’s hit program, “Barney” (1991). In 1992, Fox co-founded Unapix Entertainment, which became one of the world’s largest independent distributors of film and television programming. In 1994 he teamed with noted Canadian television innovator Moses Znaimer to start CityInteractive. From 1994 to 1998, he executive-produced over 20 hours of specials for PBS and managed the licensing of over $20 million of programming to US cable networks. In January 1999 he became CEO of myTVshop, which created unique advertising and commerce opportunities for the web sites of local television stations.
